 K - 4th Grade Little Stix Program is designed to introduce young players to the sport of lacrosse, teach them the stick skills, technique and rules of lacrosse while keeping a lighter schedule to allow them the flexibility to participate in other spring sports and complement the attention span of younger players. The Little Stix Program will begin in January with practices held 1 day per week. They will have 8 - 10 games during the Feb - end April time frame - mostly on Saturdays. There could be some travel as teams are located in Katy, Cyfair, Friendswood, and the Memorial area. 4th graders interested in a more intense program, should contact Jillian Barkley (colrytrav@yahoo.com). Registration Fees 2011/2012 Little Stix Boys = $100 (No fund raising obligation) We offer discounts to families with multiple players (all ages boys and girls - $50 for 2 players, $75 for 3 players and $100 for 4 players. The club does not furnish the following (personal) equipment. BOYS Lacrosse Stick Lacrosse Helmet (WHITE) Mouth Guard Shoulder Pads Chest Protector Elbow Guards Gloves Cleats; Football, Soccer or equivalent Cup Equipment is available at local retailers (e.g. Lacrosse-4-All, Play It Again Sports, Sports Authority) and we encourage you to use them to ensure proper fit, function and help support our local lacrosse community. If you wish to check prices for the above equipment, please search any on-line retailer. UNIFORMS The club’s fees do not include uniforms. Uniforms include shorts, reversible pennies, shooting shirts, and socks. Little Stix Boys - Est. $75.00 The club will offer spirit wear and opportunities to purchase customized team clothing (e.g. really cool warm-ups!) on an ongoing basis. These items are optional and often very popular amongst players. GAME/PRACTICE LOCATIONS Beginning in January, we hope to have a new home field located on Stuebner Airline just north of Spring Cypress Road. When this field is complete it will be our home for both games and practices.
