Lacrosse is the fastest
growing sport in Houston, with 16 middle school programs and 28 teams
including both club and private school teams.
Our practices are "open invitation". We’ll lend your daughter a
stick and teach the basics. You and your daughter can decide if you
want to be a part of what our girls call “the best sport in the whole
world.” Have a look, and we think you will find the sport of lacrosse
is a combination of basketball, soccer and field hockey. Anyone can play
lacrosse--the big or the small. The game requires and rewards
coordination and agility. Quickness and speed are two highly prized
qualities.
The girls' game is different from the boys. It is more
closely aligned with the original version played by North American
Indians. To Native Americans, lacrosse is still referred to as "The
Creator's Game".
The Klein Lacrosse Club is a non-profit organization and offers
off-campus PE credit through the Klein Independent School District.
Although we begin pre-season practices/workshops in the
Fall, our main season runs from January through April. We typically
play 2-3 tournaments and up to 14 regular season games, all included in
the registration fee. Overall, an excellent value.
